Adil Raïhani, born in Morocco and raised in the Netherlands, has been working in retail and gastronomy for the last 25 years – 20 of them in the field of travel retail.
He spent much of his career with The Nuance Group where he worked and lived in six different countries between 1996 and 2012. In his last position as Director of Sales & Operations Europe he led the development of the new duty free store concept which is currently being rolled out globally.
In 2012 Adil joined Vienna Airport, where he was tasked with a turnaround programme to redevelop the commercial offer and drive up commercial revenues. He and his team led the complete redevelopment of the airport’s commercial landscape, which led to a +65% increase in per-passenger revenue. As a big enthusiast of ‘scientific retail’ Adil and his team implemented several industry-leading software and hardware initiatives to drive commercial performance by tracking, analysing and consolidating data.
Today Adil is part of The Blueprint Partnership, which specialises in developing innovative solutions for the travel retail and duty free industry by implementing best-in-class processes and strategies to maximise revenue.
