Jens Paul has served as Vice President E-Commerce of Fraport AG’s Retail & Properties business unit since 2016.
Responsible for the airport’s digital retail operations, Jens and his team have built and developed Frankfurt Airport’s omnichannel e-commerce platform and accompanying mobile and stationary digital touchpoints.
Jens started working in the e- business field in 1999, building up a strong e-commerce background with a focus on UX, agile product development and online payments. After successfully concluding his studies with a degree in economics, he joined Telefónica O2 Germany, running and setting up several online shops for telecommunication products and services. Subsequently he took part in setting up Germany’s third largest e-commerce marketplace, for Deutsche Post DHL. He was also in charge of executing the internationalisation strategy of DHL’s e-commerce division.
Before being appointed to his current position last year, Jens led a small development team which established Fraport’s new e-commerce strategy, ensuring a smooth launch of the OM3 omnichannel e-commerce platform in collaboration with the company’s IT service provider, AOE.
