John Pearce has spent more than 25 years in retail, in particular the Australian shopping centre industry.
He has held national general management and redevelopment roles with institutional and publicly listed retail property companies including Westfield, QIC, Jones Lang LaSalle and Vicinity Centres throughout Australia. John holds a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of South Australia, majoring in Property Valuation.
A little over two years ago John came back from Victoria to undertake his current role with Adelaide Airport as Head of Retail and Commercial – Terminal, and he is currently taking the commercial lead for the planned retail expansion of the terminal, as part of its International Terminal Expansion Project.
Throughout John’s career he has taken a leading role in many market research projects, involved in identifying customers, their behaviour and segmentation for the retail businesses he has managed. The latest research John has commissioned has been undertaken by the Griffiths University for Adelaide Airport, to analyse the shopping behaviours, attitudes and motivations of the growing number of international passengers at Adelaide Airport.
