Angel Zhao

Angel Zhao was appointed President of Alibaba Global Business Group in July 2017.

She is responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of the globalisation of the Alibaba Group’s ecosystem. In March 2018 she was also appointed President of Alibaba Fliggy Group.

Currently Angel serves as Senior Vice President of Alibaba Group. She has been Vice President of Ant Financial since May 2013, and a Partner of the Group since December 2015.

Before joining Alibaba, Angel was Vice President of Finance for Taobao, Tmall and Alimama from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that she served as Senior Director of Finance at Yahoo! China.

Angel is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Public Valuer (CPV). She received an Executive MBA degree from the China Europe International Business School, and holds a Master’s in Accounting from the Tianjin University of Finance and Economics.
