Belinda Jain is Vice President, Customer Experience & Commercial at JFKIAT – the operator of Terminal 4 at New York JFK International Airport. As a seasoned industry expert, Belinda has more than 20 years of experience leading the development and operations of premium and luxury brands and airports globally, with a proven track record of delivering customer-centric programmes.
In her role at JFKIAT, Belinda is responsible for generating and managing the company’s non-aviation revenues, working with the team and business partners to develop world-class retail, food & beverage, and passenger service concepts, featuring a distinctive ‘New York sense of place’ across T4’s extensive commercial programme. She also leads JFKIAT’s customer experience strategy, partnering with stakeholders to enhance T4’s passenger satisfaction, the company’s marketing and public relations efforts, and spearheads innovation within the organisation.
Belinda has been at the forefront of the second major phase of T4’s US$1.5 billion transformation, focusing on reimagining the passenger experience and perfecting the art of travel.
Under Belinda’s guidance, JFKIAT recently announced a collaboration with HMSHost to bring new, New York-based F&B concepts to T4 in the coming months. This collaboration led to joint-venture partnerships with seven local and diverse airport concessions disadvantaged business enterprise (ACDBE)-certified businesses, which were selected following extensive community outreach. The new culinary experiences coming to the terminal, which will allow passengers to experience the tastes, sights and sounds of New York City, have provided an opportunity for JFKIAT to work with several small businesses and open gateways for meaningful local investment.
In this next phase of the terminal’s transformation, Belinda is leading the Terminal North Star programme. Through extensive research and collaborative workshops with T4 stakeholders and business partners, this programme aligns T4’s future experience, elevating it to a world-class airport terminal while anchoring T4’s distinct culture.
