Gonzalo Velasco

With more than 20 years’ experience in the airport management business, Gonzalo Velasco has built a strong track record in driving commercial revenue growth across major international airports. His current role as a Director at Steer involves him overseeing airport consultancy projects on a global scale.
Having held leadership positions at Ferrovial Airports, Gonzalo has been directly involved in shaping commercial strategies that maximise non-aeronautical revenues, including retail, property and passenger services.

His roles on the ACI World Non-Aeronautical Revenues & Activities Committee and the ACI World Economics Committee have further enabled him to contribute to industry-wide best practices for commercial performance.

Gonzalo’s experience spans executive and board-level responsibilities at airports such as Heathrow and Sydney, where he has overseen commercial portfolio management and led initiatives to enhance commercial value for investors and stakeholders.
