Hugo Vanderschaegh is the director of Altavia Travel Retail (previously known as ODG), a division of Altavia group, the world-leading retail marketing services firm established in 45 countries.
Altavia Travel Retail supports airport operators, retailers and brands with strategic consulting, retail architecture, creative and implementation solutions.
With Master’s degrees in civil engineering and International Business Management, Hugo started in Dubai 15 years ago, working for brands in creating and implementing marketing campaigns and fixtures at airports in the Middle East.
Nowadays he and his team of consultants, analysts and retail architects advise international airports on non-aero strategy, terminal commercial planning, offer and revenue optimisation.
Altavia Travel Retail teams in London, Dubai, Singapore and Shanghai work with retailers, F&B operators and brands in creating large store concepts, activation campaigns and in-store experiences.
For the last two years the company has worked extensively with Riyadh Airports Company and duty-free and F&B operators in reshaping the commercial offer at Riyadh International Airport.
