Michael Simon is the General Manager of Altria International Sales, a wholly owned subsidiary of Philip Morris USA. In this role he is responsible for leading and profitably growing Altria Group’s non-domestic tobacco business through brand management, trade marketing, and sales services.
As General Manager, Michael leads three unique business verticals: US Duty Free, US Territories, and International Sales. Prior to this position Michael was a Senior Director of Section Sales, responsible for leading an organisation and marketplace that drove nearly US$2 billion in revenue.
Michael brings 18 years of CPG experience, with a background of ascending leadership positions in Sales, Trade Marketing, Organisational Development, and Compliance. Michael studied at the University of Michigan where he earned an MBA with High Distinction from the Ross School of Business, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance.
