Olivier Bottrie joined the Estee Lauder Companies in 1996, and became President of Travel Retail Worldwide in 2004.
Since assuming this position he has successfully directed the strategic and operational development of the ELC portfolio of brands in global travel retail. Travel retail plays a pivotal role in Estée Lauder’s global corporate strategy.
Before assuming his current role Olivier was Regional Vice President, Field Sales North East, for Estée Lauder USA, also supervising several of the brand’s major national retail accounts. He was Vice President/General Manager for the International Division of Aramis and Designer Fragrances from 2001 to 2002. From 1997 to 2001 he was Vice President/General Manager Travel Retail Americas, where he was responsible for all The Estée Lauder Companies brands in the Americas travel retail market. Before joining The Estée Lauder Companies he had held various positions at Yves Saint Laurent Beauté between 1989 and 1995.
Olivier holds a Master’s in Business Administration, Finance and Investments from The George Washington University and a Licence en droit – Droit des affaires from the Sorbonne, Paris. In 2009 he attended the Advanced Management Program of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
