Roman Zhu was appointed General Manager at Fliggy Buy in January 2019. Since then he has established and led the team along the journey of making the travel retail business easy.
Fliggy Buy is a platform that connects Chinese outbound travellers with overseas merchants. It’s a solution that allows travellers to browse products and order them online before their trip. The platform helps overseas merchants undertake precision marketing and engage consumers ahead.
In his previous role Roman served as director in Alibaba’s Tmall FMCG New Retail, where he orchestrated the seamless engagement from online to offline for multinational goods.
Prior to joining Alibaba, Roman had held various leadership roles in P&G and Mars Wrigley. He has rich experience in driving the business and in-depth understanding of the local consumers.
During his stay with Mars Wrigley, Roman was the General Manager of Wrigley China’s digital and e-commerce business unit. He established Wrigley China’s eCommerce business, and led digital transformation in the organisation. Before that he spent 15 years at P&G in China where he held the director role in the sales and marketing department.
