Svetlana Simeonova is a senior executive with over 25 years’ experience in airport commercial development and customer experience. She is widely recognised for her strategic mindset, strong leadership and hands-on approach to building sustainable commercial performance in complex airport environments.

Throughout her career, Svetlana has led multidisciplinary teams and managed large-scale projects, often in multicultural and highly regulated settings. She is known as a structured and goal-oriented leader with strong interpersonal and communication skills, combining commercial acumen with integrity, accountability and a pragmatic problem-solving approach. She is fluent in English and experienced in working with international partners and stakeholders.

Since early 2023, Svetlana has served as Vice Chair of the ANARA Sub-Committee at ACI World and, since April 2021, has led Working Group 2 ‘Concession Agreements’, actively contributing to industry best practices and knowledge sharing.

Svetlana has been part of Fraport Bulgaria since 2001, where she has held several senior leadership roles. She is currently Director Commercial Activities & Customer Experience, responsible for shaping the commercial strategy, passenger experience and long-term business development of Varna and Burgas airports.

Earlier in her career at Fraport Bulgaria, she served as Corporate Secretary and Head of the Legal Department, advising on corporate governance, concessions and regulatory matters. This dual commercial and legal background gives her a well-rounded perspective on airport operations, partnerships and contract structures.
