Mr Vu The Phiet

Mr Vu The Phiet has over 25 years of experience working in major aviation companies in both operations and management. He took the helm of Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) as General Director (CEO) in 2018. ACV manages 22 airports across Vietnam, ten of which are international airports.

Prior to this, in April 2012 he was elected as Director of Noi Bai International Airport, one of the largest airports of ACV, and successfully completed his tenure in January 2017. He then served as Deputy General Director of ACV and was designated to the Board of Management.

He spent the first 16 years of his career in the aviation technological field with Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (previously Vietnam Air Traffic Management Center) – both in the Northern branch and the Headquarters – with the majority as Manager of Technology Division. From January 2011 to April 2012, he served as Head of Technology and Environment Department of Northern Airports Corporation.

In 1994 he received an outstanding degree in Mathematics and Computer Sciences from the National University of Hanoi in Vietnam. In 2017, he earned his Master of Business Administration from South Colombia University in the United States.
