Gary Clarke: Trinity support underlines “total commitment to the confectionery category in travel retail”

INTERNATIONAL. Mars International Travel Retail (MITR) has signed up as a Platinum Partner for The Trinity Forum 2017, which takes place in Bangkok on 25-27 October.

The event, which is the world’s most influential airport commercial revenues conference, will be hosted by King Power International Company (Thailand).

As reported, it will take place at the Pullman Bangkok King Power Hotel, next to the retailer’s spectacular Rangnam Road downtown duty free store. The Trinity Forum is co-organised by The Moodie Davitt Report, ACI World and ACI Asia-Pacific.

MITR General Manager Gary Clarke said: “Mars International Travel Retail is delighted to be partnering with ACI and The Moodie Davitt Report as a Platinum Sponsor of the 2017 Trinity Forum.

“MITR is the partner to grow the total confectionery category with a unique cross-segment position and the world’s biggest brands in chocolate and gum & confections. We are proud to be partnering the Trinity Forum at the highest level in 2017. This year’s increased profile is just one further way to show MITR’s total commitment to the confectionery category in travel retail.”

The Forum will begin with an Opening Cocktail reception on Wednesday 25 October, followed by the conference on 26 and 27 October, with a Gala Dinner to be hosted on the night of the 27th. An additional social programme for those intending to stay on in the Thai capital is being arranged.

The Trinity Forum, first held in 2003, seeks to improve dialogue and mutual understanding between airports, concessionaires and brands to the benefit of that critical fourth party – the travelling consumer.
