Martijn Steur is the Founder and Managing Director of Kinetic Consultancy, a well-respected international advisory firm specialising in the commercialisation of high-traffic locations such as airports, rail hubs and mixed-use environments. With over 25 years of experience in the airport and travel retail industry, Martijn combines executive-level strategic insight with deep, hands-on operational knowledge.

He began his career at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, where he spent a decade in senior commercial roles spanning retail, food & beverage, partnerships and early digital initiatives. This grounding inside one of Europe’s leading hub airports continues to shape his pragmatic approach: translating ambitious strategies into implementable solutions that work for operations, people and customer behaviour.

Through Kinetic Consultancy, Martijn has advised more than 20 major international airports across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia. He also supports governments, investors, designers, retailers and brands – bringing a holistic understanding of non-aeronautical value creation across the full ecosystem.
