Early Bird registration for The Trinity Forum ends in two weeks

VIETNAM. The Early Bird registration period for The Trinity Forum 2024, set to take place on 5-6 November in Ho Chi Minh, closes on 10 September.

Delegates for the much-anticipated event are highly encouraged to sign up before the deadline to enjoy the attractive Early Bird offer of US$1,100 for ACI members, and US$1,300 for non-members. The registration fee rises to US$1,400 and US$1,600 respectively after that date. Click here to register.

Smile Train named official charity of The Trinity Forum in Ho Chi Minh City

VIETNAM. Smile Train, the global leader in world cleft care, will be the official charity of The Trinity Forum 2024 set to take place on 5-6 November in Ho Chi Minh City.

The event, to be co-hosted by Airports Corporation of Vietnam and Imex Pan Pacific Group (IPPG), is the world’s most influential travel retail and airport commercial revenues conference.

It is owned by The Moodie Davitt Report and organised in partnership with Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific & Middle East and ACI World.

IPPG is organising a unique, high-value auction at The Trinity Forum Gala Dinner to be hosted at Gem Center on 6 November to raise funds and visibility for Smile Train.

Smile Train is the world’s largest cleft-focused organisation, providing a sustainable and local model of supporting surgery and related forms of essential care.

Over the last 25 years, Smile Train has supported safe, high-quality and free cleft care for more than 2 million children and will continue to do so until every child in need with a cleft has access to the care they deserve.

The extraordinarily transformative power of Smile Train was captured in Smile Pinki, a true-story film (see YouTube link below) about a young Indian girl named Pinki born with a cleft lip and palate. It was awarded the Oscar for the Best Short Documentary at the annual Academy Awards in February 2009.

Singh has served with immense distinction for more than 30 years at Mondelez International in several global leadership positions spanning both domestic and travel retail markets. As reported, he will retire at the end of January 2025.

One of travel retail’s most-respected, forward-thinking and influential figures, Singh is a passionate advocate for travel retail and the role of confectionery in the channel.

He played a pivotal part in supporting the industry during and post-COVID, taking on the role of President of the Tax Free World Association during a critical period in 2021.

Singh has held several other influential positions within a variety of industry trade associations, sitting on the board of the Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association from 2009 until 2018, as Treasurer for six years and President between 2013 and 2017. He also served on the board of the Duty Free World Council from 2013 to 2017.

A much-respected figure in the aviation sector, Griffiths has played a pivotal role in driving the airport’s remarkable growth and series of milestones since assuming the leadership role in September 2007.

These include the inauguration of DXB Terminal 3 in October 2008 and Dubai’s second airport, Dubai World Central (DWC) in June 2010. Under his guidance, the DWC passenger terminal commenced operations in October 2013.

Griffiths, alongside His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Airports, marked a landmark moment in December 2018 by welcoming DXB’s billionth passenger.

Notably, he successfully steered the business through the COVID-19 crisis, and helped drive international travel recovery, with the hub exceeding pre-pandemic traffic levels in 2023.

The 2024 edition of the world’s leading airport commercial revenues event, to be co-hosted by Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) and Imex Pan Pacific Group (IPPG), is to take place on 5-6 November in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The Trinity Forum is owned by The Moodie Davitt Report and organised in partnership with Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific & Middle East and ACI World.

As reported, this year’s edition of the Trinity Forum will see unprecedented involvement by airports and airport groups worldwide, reflecting the growing importance of commercial and wider non-aeronautical revenues in the aviation industry.

The programme will highlight opportunities and challenges in both established and emergent markets, the latter including Saudi Arabia (currently seeing profound structural change within its aviation and travel retail sectors), India and Vietnam.

The big-name speakers confirmed for the Trinity Forum include highly influential leaders in the industry such as Qatar Duty Free Senior Vice President Thabet Musleh, one of the most-respected and forward-thinking executives in the airport commercial revenues world. He will be joined by Abu Dhabi Airports Managing Director Elena Sorlini, who drove the opening of the extraordinary new Zayed International Airport in late 2023.

The stellar speaker line-up will also feature Riyadh Airports Company Chief Commercial Officer Abdulaziz Al Asaker, who will outline the opportunities presented by the burgeoning Saudi airport commercial revenues landscape.

Adani Airports Holding Chief Executive Officer Arun Bansal will be a big drawcard as he explores prospects in India and beyond as seen through the lens of this hugely ambitious latter-day giant of the airport world.
