Antonin Carreau

Global Director of Beauty, Avolta

A global executive with over 30 years of international business development experience for consumer goods and prestige brands, Antonin Carreau is Global Director of Beauty for Avolta.

After almost three decades in the beauty industry, he embarked on a career in the retail industry in 2011, first at WDFG and then with Dufry and Avolta, heading Buying and Merchandising for Beauty and, for a period, Luxury/Fashion categories.

Antonin moved to Geneva in 2001 and joined Unilever Cosmetics International (UCI) as Regional Director EMEA before being promoted to Director Global Travel Retail. As Coty acquired UCI, he became Vice-President Europe Travel Retail & Global Customers before taking over as Senior Vice-President Commercial in charge of Worldwide Travel Retail. In this capacity, he joined the Commercial Board, reporting alongside other Regional Heads to the President International. Dring this time Antonin helped increase sales by +40%, adding significant profit contribution and reshuffling the unit to a customer and retail-oriented model.

He joined the beauty industry in 1996 as Regional Export Director for Guerlain (LVMH), where he changed the business model in the Middle East and achieved sales and profitability growth of +50% in three years. He also acted as Brand General Manager for the Estée Lauder Group, in charge of MAC, La Mer and Clinique for local Middle Eastern markets.

Antonin’s career began in 1992 as Export Manager for ST Dupont. He then spent 18 months as Commercial Director for Europe at Aigle, the outdoor apparel company.
