
Max Heinemann
Max Heinemann is the Owner and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Gebr. Heinemann.
The son of Gunnar Heinemann, Max was born in Hamburg in 1982. Following his graduation from high school, he studied International Business Administration at La Salle University in Barcelona. After finishing his studies in 2009, Max helped develop the market entry strategy of Heinemann Duty Free, before moving to Singapore in 2010 to the newly founded subsidiary Heinemann Asia Pacific.
From 2014 onwards, he led Heinemann Asia Pacific as Chief Executive Officer before being appointed to the Executive Board of Gebr. Heinemann in Hamburg in September 2018. In this role, he is responsible for People & Culture, Corporate Communications & External Affairs, and the Vision Hub GHARAGE.
Since its foundation in 1879, Gebr. Heinemann has been managed by members of the Heinemann family. Today, Max represents the fifth generation. He embodies a modern, value-driven leadership style that combines long-term thinking, human-centricity and technological excellence. Under his leadership, Gebr. Heinemann has entered new markets, such as Saudi Arabia and India, and has established itself as a resilient partner in a dynamic global environment.
Max is married and has three children.
