QATAR. Senior figures from across all sectors of the travel retail Trinity and beyond have been announced for this years’ Trinity Forum, taking place in Doha 30-31 October.
This year’s event, organised by The Moodie Davitt Report, ACI World and ACI Asia Pacific, is being co-hosted by Qatar Duty Free, Hamad International Airport and Qatar Airways.
The Trinity Forum, which has grown to become the world’s most influential airport commercial revenues conference, will be taking place at the St. Regis Hotel in Doha. Qatar Airways is offering a 15% discount on fares to and from Doha for delegates (https://www.qatarairways.com/en-qa/offers/cug/TTF19.html – Promotional Code: DOHTTF19).
Rooms are available at the 12-storey luxury hotel to delegates from QAR850 (US$228.41) per night. Click here for more information.
The event will examine how future-proofed the travel retail sector and its business model are in light of the relentless advance of online competition, enhanced consumer transparency, and lack of data sharing. It will also ask whether the traditional industry Trinity of airports, retailers and brands needs to make room for another stakeholder – airlines.
From a unique airline, airport and retail perspective, delegates will hear from His Excellency Akbar Al Baker, who is CEO of Qatar Airways Group, Secretary General of the Qatar National Tourism Council and CEO of several divisions of Qatar’s national airline, including Qatar Executive, Hamad International Airport, Qatar Aviation Services, Qatar Aircraft Catering Company, Qatar Distribution Company, Qatar Duty Free and Internal Media Services.
Senior figures from some of the world’s major airports will address delegates. They include Groupe ADP Chief Retail Officer Aude Ferrand; Airport Authority Hong Kong Commercial Executive Director Cissy Chan; Hamad International Airport Chief Operating Officer Badr Al-Meer; and Heathrow Airport Retail Director Fraser Brown.
This year’s Trinity Forum will also feature an Airports CEO panel; this will feature the CEOs of Kansai International Airport, Emmanuel Menanteau; Queen Alia International Airport, Kjeld Binger; and Pittsburgh International Airport, Christina Cassotis.
We are also delighted to announce that from the brand’s side of the Trinity, the Forum will hear from Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail Chairman and CEO Mohit Lal and Mars Wrigley International Travel Retail Global Category Director Raghav Rekhi.
The Forum will also hear from AOE CEO Kian Gould.
More speakers and presentations will be announced in the coming weeks.
The conference will also feature shortlisted presentations from a unique innovation, the Trinity Challenge. You can read the full brief for that here.
